I have been very busy since the middle of December! We have been removing walls, building walls, texturing walls, and painting the upstairs bedrooms. There are new doors, door jams, baseboards, and chair rails. The other night I got to use a nail gun hooked to an air compressor for the first time while putting up trim. Very exciting I must say! It has got me all pepped up for learning how to use my husband?s compound saw later this week. I?m definetly feeling quite handy with the power tools.
Tomorrow I get to make another trip to the paint department at our local home improvement store to get some more paint to finish up painting the door jams and then I think the only thing left to do upstairs is painting the hallway and the bathroom. I think those are going to have to wait though until after we move in this weekend as we haven?t even started the painting downstairs! Yikes!
I thought I would give you a sneek peek at some of the paint colors in the children?s rooms. I remind you that they had a lot of say in these colors, and if you think these are wild, well, you should have seen what their first choices and design ideas were.
Tips on painting stripes: Use the GREEN FROG TAPE to tape off the stripe. Then paint the edge of the paint with the color that is next to the color you are painting the stripe inorder to seal off the edge of the tape and not allow the stripe color to bleed under the tape. You can see an example of?this on the middle picture.
