The 14.2 mile long Polly Ann Trail begins in Orion Township and continues through Oxford, Addison, and ends at the Oakland-Lapeer County Line. This trail provides a peaceful place to see the beautiful scenery of Michigan. It is open all year long from dawn to dusk. The Paint Creek Trail is 8.9 miles long and is open all year. This allows hiking, jogging, horseback riding, skiing, fishing, nature watching and many more activities. The other public outdoor recreational places include six parks: Atwater Park, Children?s Park, Green?s Park, Meek?s Park, Unger Park, Swiss Village Park, and the Orion Veterans Memorial. Each one of these parks is located within walking distance of the Village of Lake Orion making each park a great place to visit on a sunny day.
