It is less expensive, much more healthy for your family, promotes the union of all involved, and gives family members time to share and bond over dinner. Here?s another recipe for a dinner, two chicken and rice bean. In this quick dish and easy, you have the makings of a balanced meal. You have the meat, spices, vegetables, ie onions, tomatoes, green beans, chickpeas and all served in a starch grain, rice. To make this meal healthier the use of rice grain brown or whole. All you have to add a quick salad and have a meal. To include dairy products, milk serves as the drink or ice cream for dessert.

2 med onions, sliced ??

1 clove garlic minced

1 teaspoon dried basil

2 bay leaves

1 (10 oz) package frozen green beans

2 (16-ounce cans) garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained

1 1 / 2 cups hot cooked rice

Remove skin from chicken. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat, add the chicken and brown on all sides. Add the onion and garlic. saut? 5 minutes or until onions are golden. Add the undrained tomatoes, basil, pepper and bay leaves to skillet. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat. Cook , covered, for 20 minutes. Remove and discard bay leaves. Add the green beans and peas to the pan. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes or until beans are tender and chicken. Spoon rice a serving dish. Arrange chicken and vegetables with rice
